Caleb Update

=December 6, 2009=

I added 11 pics to this slideshow! It's now over 100 pics so I will probably start a new one in January to begin a fresh start in the new year.

=October 1, 2009=

Wow! It's already been a month since I've added text to this post. Sorry! As most of you may know, I have at least added several pics to this post throughout the month. Caleb is doing really well. He had his six week check up a while back, and received several shots (displayed in the pic w/yellow outfit, and two band-aids on his legs). Caleb talks (coos) like crazy, it's wonderful! If he's awake when I come home, I can sit in front of him for 15 minutes while he talks to me. I try to mimic him and I know he likes it, because he'll kick and laugh at me and do it some more. I posted 17 new pics from last week and today. A bunch of Caleb's cousins stayed in one position long enough for Aimee to snap a shot, and he got to hang out with Miles a lot this weekend. The first four pictures are from today which marks his second month of life. The fifth picture marks the day I declared him a thumb sucker! I hope you enjoy the show!

Caleb turned one month old yesterday, and it's been an amazing month. My family: Grandma Carol, Aunt Irene, Grandma Juanita, Grandpa Mike, Great-Grandpa Don, Great-Grandma Shirley, Aunt Jill, Aunt Rebecca, Cousin David, and Cousin Isabella all visited from California during Caleb's first two weeks. It was so wonderful to have them here to share our handsome baby Caleb with. Caleb experienced so many firsts this month, like his first sponge bath, first real bath, first trip to the Dr, first trip to church, first time sleeping longer than four hours, and many more.

Aimee has done a wonderful job tending to all of Caleb's needs and she is ready to start working from home for her sister Lynda as soon as she can. Aimee reminds me of her siblings [that I know] who could work from day light to day break just as long as they know they are being productive, and not have a care or gripe in the world. It's just what they do. They're great people!

Me? I'm just trying to catch up with Aimee! Parenting certainly isn't something I had any clue about so I'm trying to read things here and there as well as pick up what I can from Aimee. It's been a bumpy road thus far, but nothing too big for us to get through with God's help and lots of patience.

I think I'm gonna continue to add pics to the slideshow below from now on unless I'm posting pics from a specific event. I'll put a link at the top of the blog page so you can find this quickly in the future. Please feel free to leave comments at the bottom!

Next Monday will mark Caleb's first month of life. Here's a quick update of how he's been so far.

He's currently sleeping in 3 hourincrementsduring the night, and getting plenty of mommy's milk to eat. He's getting longer by the day, and is able to focus on objects around him, like Mommy and Daddy. My family visited during his first 2 weeks, and I'm so thankful they took care of us, and got to see and hold Caleb.

Caleb has plenty of shirts with cute logos, and I'm gonna try to capture all the times he wears those outfits. As it stands right now, we have too many clothes for this guy so he may outgrow outfits before even getting a chance to try them on. I hope you like these pictures, and I'll add some more pics to this as soon as I get a chance.

Well he certainly has changed a lot. You probably don't see it cuz you're with him every day but he has. He looks so grown up already. Lighten up on the thumb sucking, guys. Things could be worse. He's still perfect to me.
Love the picture with Aimee and him on his belly. Give a good squeeze from me.
