Android’s Quick Settings has been around long before Apple came up with a similar tray of settings and different manufacturers like to tweak or in the case of the Droid Turbo, not tweak this tray. The Motorola Droid Turbo on the Verizon Wireless network is one of the hottest phones of 2014. The phone has a mega battery, large display, front-facing speaker, and the works. I think you get the picture, but if not head over to your near VZW store and pick one up. [Read more…] about How to use Quick Settings on the Motorola Droid Turbo
When I get a new phone to demo or for personal use one of the first things I need to figure out is how to capture what I see on the screen into a picture. This task is often called or referred to as a screenshot or print screen. In the past, Android didn’t have this feature embedded into the operating system, but there were apps that could easily help you out. Sometimes you would have to pull down the notification bar and tap an option to take a picture of the screen under the notification bar. Our kid loves to dance! If you attended Travis and Sarah’s wedding in early October you would have had an excellent demonstration of this boy’s skills. The video of Caleb below isn’t much of a dance just some good head bobbing while eating breakfast and listening to some tunes.
Now for the tech talk… This video was shot on a piece of equipment I hope to use to share a lot more content with you. It was shot with the all new Re camera by HTC. This handy dandy little periscope-looking camera is categorized as a lifestyle camera and can be ranked up there with the GoPro action camera. It has a 16 MP camera, can shoot in slow motion, records in high definition, and is water proof right out of the box.

On Friday, August 1st we had the wonderful opportunity of celebrating Caleb’s fifth birthday with friends at Severns Valley Baptist Church at the In-door playground and rock climbing wall.
When Caleb woke up the morning of his birthday, he thought he had to wait until his birthday party to turn five. He jumped for joy when we told him the entire day was his birthday and that he was already five when he climbed out of bed. He opened a few gifts in the morning from Mommy, Daddy, and grandparents and he hung out with Daddy before the big event.
THANK YOU! THANKS! GRACIAS!
One of Google’s latest creations the Chromecast has been on the market for a few months now and I have finally jumped on the bandwagon. Part of the main reason I held out was mostly due to my own ignorance on how flexible this product really is. I thought Chromecast was only supported with Android devices and I already have a device made by HTC that my HTC phones can use to send content to a TV.
