Seven Months

What is in store for us next? This past month Caleb learned to remain sitting up on his own after we place him on the floor. He really likes sitting up versus tummy time and is able to play with his toys for a little longer than before. He is able to move from the sitting position to his tummy, but sometimes a leg prevents him from getting there on the first try. It is only a matter of time before he starts crawling and Aimee is already placing safety devices around the house. As you can see from videos posted this month he is very active in the cart that circles the play station in the center and I hope this will be a segway for him when it comes to crawling/walking.

Did he just say momma?

Aimee caught Caleb on camera mumbling what sounds like "momma." He is also seen making a new face and watching his cousin Shelby play with a Lincoln Log set. This guy cracks me up!

Call it a snow day

Today we had to submit to the snow and take it for what it is. Aubrey, Aimee, and Caleb enjoyed some time in the snow. The girls made the snow lady and I brought Caleb outside to snap a few pics. Enjoy!

Mailbox season

Well it seems the time in the year has come where people are out hunting mailboxes. We had a nice snow fall over night and while on my way to work I found three mailboxes I wanted to kill and claim as mine. My truck hit a slight bump and shot me off like a sniper's bullet heading dead on for the mailboxes. All I could do was hold on and enjoy the ride... Boom! It was over almost as soon as it started, although it felt like an eternity as I watched the mailboxes fall one by one. My brother in-law, Tim came to the rescue and after an hour I was out. My truck is drivable, but it is not something that should be on the road full time, and is going to have to get fixed. I tried to take it to the shop a few minutes ago, but the tires just can't get a grip and I only made it a few feet out of the driveway before crawling back.

The damage looks very similar to the last time my truck decided to slam into something less forgiving than air (see below). This is from an accident in San Antonio, TX a few years ago that totalled $5,500 in damage.

El Grande Bowl

We pulled out our jerseys and snapped a couple pics as we get ready for the big game . We even got our niece Aubrey to show us her football spirit and who could forget about Caleb who looks as if he was dressed to coach on the sidelines.
