Last week was filled with excitement as we prepared for our trip to Red River Gorge on Friday. Aimee and I texted back and forth throughout the week about how quickly our trip was coming up and that we couldn't wait to get away for a bit. Camping at Otter Creek

The weather this weekend couldn't have been any better for a camping adventure in October. I left work an hour early, packed up the Vera Cruz and headed to Otter Creek, which is a few miles on the other side of Fort Knox, with Aimee and Caleb. Pool Time Fun

Mason and Caleb cooling off in the pool

On Saturday, I stopped by Sean's dad's house to return a sump pump I borrowed recently and Caleb's buddy Mason was there testing out the waters of his little pool. Caleb helped Mason feel out the waters and they quickly began splashing wildly getting their clothes soaked. Caleb just about jumped in fully clothed so I got him down to his diaper and let him at the pool. He and Mason had a great time. Mason’s First Birthday

Sean and Jenn's son Mason celebrated his first birthday on Sunday and we had the pleasure of attending and hanging out with all of Caleb's friends. Mommy and daddy's friends were there too so everyone had a good time. Mason had a large cupcake while we sang the Happy Birthday song and Joanna Black showed the kids what kindermusik is all about. I spent some time at Sean and Jenn's house tonight and Jenn uploaded this video of the boys playing together.
