For the past couple years I have had the pleasure to attend the Barzee Family Christmas which is usually held a short time after the new year when things have calmed down a bit. This year was quite fun and it seemed like everyone had a great time. Caleb got to play with a bunch of his cousins, I got to eat a bunch of food, and Aimee got to see her momma.
Part of the tradition is to exchage gifts via the White Elephant (WE) game.
A white elephant gift exchange is a popular holiday party game found primarily in North America. It has many variations in both the name and the game play. White elephant parties have been known to result in intensely vicious and/or playful rivalries between players trying to get sought after gifts. Gifts are typically inexpensive, humorous items or used items from home. The term white elephant refers to a gift whose maintenance costs exceed its usefulness.
In the slideshow below you will see how the game unraveled and yes, Tim put on the underwear Ryan received as his WE gift. Thanks to Allen and Beth for hosting once again and to everyone for sharing laughs while having fun.
